Tout comme l'Eluktronics RP-15 de 15,6 pouces, le RP-17 de 17,3 pouces séduit par son design sobre, son écran 144 Hz, sa belle évolutivité, et son processeur Ryzen 7 Zen 2, pour un prix similaire que la plupart des concurrents Core i7 équipés de la même GeForce RTX 2060. Les températures internes en jeu sont moins élevées qu'attendu, certainement parce que le châssis en lui-même devrait pouvoir intégrer des GPU encore plus puissants qu'Eluktronics ne propose malheureusement pas pour l'instant. Le mode Turbo n'est pas vraiment utile pour augmenter les taux d'image, si bien que l'on peut jouer avec ce mode éteint, permettant d'avoir des ventilateurs moins bruyants. Le châssis semble plus durable que celui du MSI GF75, mais n'atteint pas le niveau des séries MSI GT et Asus ROG Strix plus chères.

Les fuites de lumière notables et le châssis légèrement épais sont les principaux défauts de la machine. Il ne faut pas s'attendre à une allure ultra élégante du RP-17, comme on peut en avoir avec les MSI GS66, Asus Zephyrus, ou Razer Blade...

Son concurrent le plus proche est sans doute l'Asus TUF A17, qui peut équipé d'exactement les mêmes processeur et carte graphique, pour environ 100 ou 200 $ de plus. Le système Asus chauffe plus et s'avère plus bruyant en jeu, en partie à cause de sa finesse.

L'Eluktronics RP-17 se concentre sur l'expérience de jeu pure, sans aucune fioriture visuelle qui pourrait augmenter le prix. La dalle 144 Hz de base est à noter par rapport aux autres PC portables de jeu de cette gamme de prix, où les dalles 60 ou 120 Hz sont répandues.
