L’Aero 17 rend l’Aorus X7 DT de l’an dernier obsolète. Il est tout à la fois notablement plus léger, plus robuste, plus lumineux, plus rapide, plus frais, plus autonome et plus efficient. Si vous pensez acquérir un portable Aorus X, alors il n’y a aucune raison de ne pas lui préférer l’Aero 17.

Comparé aux autres portables ultrafins performants de cette taille, l’Aero 17 combine quatre caractéristiques spécifiques : le Thunderbolt 3, un lecteur de carte SD, un pavé numérique grand format, et un écran HDR400 ultra lumineux et pré-calibré Pantone. Les modèles concurrents comme le MSI GS75, le MSI P75, l’ Asus Zephyrus GX701, ou même les Razer Blade Pro 17 / Blade Studio n’ont pas au moins une de ces fonctionnalités. L’Aero 17 ressemble plus à une machine équilibrée pour les créateurs de contenus et les joueurs, qu’à une machine avant tout crée pour le jeu avec quelques fonctionnalités pros ajoutées.

Il y a néanmoins un certain nombre d’éléments qui feraient de l’Aero 17 une meilleure machine. Le retour du clavier et du clickpad en particulier aurait pu être plus ferme, et les marquages des touches sont peu lisibles. Le placement de la webcam est mauvais, et l’infrarouge n’est pas disponible, ce qui est dommage pour un appareil qui vise les professionnels. Un lecteur de carte SD à ressort aurait été préférable, et des ports RJ45 2,5 Gbit et USB C pour charger auraient été appréciés. Pour un appareil à ce prix, on veut tous les raffinements possibles, et on les espère pour la prochaine génération.

L’Aero 17 hautes performances est plus silencieux que ses concurrents, tout en proposant plus de fonctionnalités qui séduiront à la fois les professionnels, les créatifs et les joueurs. Il tient efficacement tête au Razer Blade Pro 17, avec son écran HDR400 ultra lumineux et son pavé numérique grand format, qui sont absents de beaucoup d’autres portables de jeu fins.
