Quo Vadis ? Le smartphone chinois Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 est maintenant - à cause de la nouvelle stratégie marketing de Xiaomi - simplement appelé Redmi Note 7. Il est difficile à catégoriser, vu qu’il possède la plus haute résolution d’appareil photo actuellement disponible sur un smartphone, et un Snapdragon 660 pas très puissant. Nous testons le premier smartphone officiel de la marque Redmi afin de découvrir son vrai potentiel.

Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion)

Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.
Scintillement / MLI (Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) décelé 2336 Hz ≤ 18 Niveau de luminosité

Le rétroéclairage de l'écran scintille à la fréquence de 2336 Hz (certainement du fait de l'utilisation d'une MDI - Modulation de largeur d'impulsion) à un niveau de luminosité inférieur ou égal à 18 % . Aucun scintillement ne devrait être perceptible au-dessus de cette valeur.

La fréquence de rafraîchissement de 2336 Hz est élevée, la grande majorité des utilisateurs ne devrait pas percevoir de scintillements et être sujette à une fatigue oculaire accrue.

En comparaison, 51 % des appareils testés n'emploient pas MDI pour assombrir leur écran. Nous avons relevé une moyenne à 13646 (minimum : 43 - maximum : 2500000) Hz dans le cas où une MDI était active.

Temps de réponse de l'écran

Le temps de réponse d'un écran mesure la rapidité à laquelle l'écran est capable de changer une couleur pour une autre. Un temps de réponse élevé se traduit par une image floutée pour les objets en mouvement. Les joueurs bénéficieront de faibles latences d'affichage en jeu.

Alors, comment le smartphone Xiaomi, avec son appareil photo haute résolution et ses composants du milieu de gamme se situe-t-il face à la concurrence ?

Le Note 7 possède un avantage certain sur le P20 Lite. Il le surpasse non seulement en performances brutes, mais également dans d’autres domaines comme les performances Wifi et l’autonomie.

La concurrence Qualcomm est du même niveau : entre 200 et 250 € en fonction du stockage, les prix sont similaires à celui du Note 7. De ce fait, on fera son choix plus sur des détails comme les fonctionnalités supplémentaires ou l’esthétique, même si aucun des trois concurrents auxquels nous avons confronté le Note ne peuvent le concurrencer en ce qui concerne la résolution d’appareil photo.

Au moment de notre test, la version 64 Go du Xiaomi Mi 8 était toujours vendu pour environ 350 €, la version 128 Go n’étant que de 10 - 15 € plus cher. Mis à part son prix plus élevé, le gain de performances du Mi 8 doit être évalué en gardant à l’esprit son autonomie moindre, qui ne permet pas de le recommander.

Le Redmi Note 7 est un bon smartphone du milieu de gamme, et son appareil photo 48 MP le distingue de la concurrence.

Nous apprécions également les fonctionnalités pratique de MIUI de Xiaomi, même si l’appareil intègre un certain nombre d’applis inutiles et de fonctionnalité d’IA inutilisables en Europe.

Trois versions son disponibles pour le Redmi Note 7 :

  • Redmi Note 7 Chinois : appareil photo 48 MP, jusqu’à 6 Go de RAM, pas de LTE bande 20,
  • Redmi Note 7 Global India : apparail photo 12 MP, jusqu’à 4 Go de RAM, bande 20 LTE,
  • Redmi Note 7 Global Europe : appareil photo 48 MP, jusqu’à 4 Go de RAM, LTE bande 20.

Cela devrait rendre cet appareil chinois plus intéressant en Europe !
