Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Si la fréquence est trop basse, certaines personnes peuvent être sujettes à une fatigue oculaire, des maux de tête ou même percevoir les variations.

Le ZenFone 7 Pro est un successeur réussi au ZenFone 6, qu'il améliore dans de nombreux domaines. Par exemple, il est maintenant équipé d'un écran AMOLED avec une diagonale de 6,67 pouces, et un taux de rafraîchissement de 90 Hz, d'un appareil photo rotatif avec une meilleure résolution et trois lentilles, de la 5G et même d'un SoC plus puissant, le Snapdragon 865+.

L'Asus ZenFone 7 Pro impressionne avec une bonne connectivité, et s'avère être l'un des smartphones Android le plus puissants actuellement disponibles. Le vrai fleuron à petit prix est néanmoins le ZenFone 7, disponible pour 100 € de moins.

Mais même le ZenFone 7 Pro a ses limites. Il n'est par exemple pas certifié IP, et ne possède pas de charge sans-fil. La VoLTE et la VoWifi sont également absentes - mais Asus pourrait corriger cela dans une future mise à jour.

Le ZenFone 6 était un vrai fleuron à petit prix. Le ZenFone 7 Pro n'est pas aussi convaincant dans ce rôle. Pour 1000 €, il n'est pas particulièrement abordable, même pour le haut de gamme.

Le ZenFone 7 semble être plus pertinent comme appareil à prix contenu. Le petit frère du 7 Pro coûte environ 100 € de moins, et ressemble à notre modèle.Si les 128 Go de stockage au lieu des 256, le Snapdragon 865 légèrement plus lent, et la stabilisation optique de l'appareil photos ne vous manquent pas, alors le ZenFone 7 pourrait être plus intéressant. Le OnePlus 8T est également une bonne alternative au ZenFone 7 Pro.
