Afin d'abaisser la luminosité de l'écran, certains ordinateurs portables font varier très rapidement le rétroéclairage entre éteint et allumé. La fréquence à laquelle le rétroéclairage s'éteint et se rallume est normalement fixée à une valeur qui permet de rendre la variation indétectable à l'œil nu? Le dernier porte-étendard du milieu de gamme de Redmi fait bonne impression dans nos tests, et au vu de son prix contenu d’environ 220 € pour la version internationale, ne mérite pas vraiment de critiques. Cela dit, la chauffe et le throttling du SoC, ains que le haut-parleur mono médiocre et l’emplacement du capteur d’empreintes digitales doivent être pris en compte.

Alors que le Redmi Note 8 Pro ne devrait pas être le premier choix pour les joueurs, il est l’un des meilleurs smartphones du milieu de gamme actuellement disponibles.

Même si le Note 8 équipé d’un processeur Snapdragon peut sembler être un meilleur choix sur le papier, la version Pro avec le SoC MediaTek est capable d’obtenir de très bon résultats au quotidien, utilisation pour laquelle les performances sont adéquates, le processeur s’avérant aussi bon que les puces Qualcomm de série 700.

À la différence du Note 8, le modèle Pro du Redmi brille avec un bon appareil photo. Le Samsung GW1 prend des photos très détaillées de jour, du niveau du capteur Sony IMX 582.
