Intel Core i3-380UM

Le Intel Core i3-380UM est un CPU ultra low voltage (basse consommation) sans Turbo Boost donc il reste à 1.3 Ghz. Et il ne dispose pas des instructions EAS contrairement aux i5 et i7. C'est un CPU Nehalem (Westemere). L'Hyperthreading permet à ce Dual Core de gérer 4 processeurs.

LEs Core i5-470UM, i5-560UM, et i7-660UM possèdent aussi une fréquence de base de 1.3 GHz, mais sans Turbo Boost donc plus rapide.

La nouveauté du Core i3-380UM possèdent un GPU intégré (nommé Intel HD Graphics) et un contrôleur de mémoire. Tout deux sur une puce séparée gravée en 45nm alors que le CPU est gravé en 32nm.

Avec son contrôleur de mémoire et HyperThreading, le Core i3-380UM est plus rapide qu'un Core 2 Duo de même fréquence (1.3 GHz) dans tout les benchmarks. Donc il bat les 1.3 GHz du Pentium SU7300 et est même plus rapide que les 2 GHz d'un Core 2 Duo dans certains cas. Mais dans les jeux il y aura le problème de la fréquence basse.

La consommation de 18 Watt TDP (max.) compte pour tout ces composants, donc mieux que les 17 Watt de TDP des Core 2 Duo série SL (CPU seul).
