Intel N3510

Le Pentium N3510 est un SoC quad core économe en énergie pour ordinateurs de bureau et nettops. Cadencé à 2.0 GHz, il fait partie de la nouvelle plate-forme Bay Trail-T. Grâce au processus de gravure optimisée (P1271) faible consommation en 22 nm avec des transistors tri-gate, les performances et la consommation énergétique ont été significativement améliorées comparées à celle de son prédécesseur.

Architecture

Les noyaux du processeur sont basés sur la nouvelle architecture Silvermont, une conception out-of-order pour la première fois. L'utilisation intensive de pipelines et les améliorations apportées (prédiction de branches optimisée, tampons et décodeurs améliorés) permettent une augmentation des performances par MHz de l'ordre de 50%. Néanmoins, Intel a choisi de retirer l'Hyper Threading de la génération précédente. En ce qui concerne les changements majeurs, le nouvel Atom inclut de nouveaux jeux d'instructions tels que le SSE 4.1/SSE 4.2, et AES-NI (en fonction du modèle).

Performances

Grâce aux 4 noyaux du processeur et une fréquence de fonctionnement allant jusqu'à 2.0 GHz, le Pentium N3510 est significativement plus rapide que les précédents Intel Atom, comme le N2800. Le N3510 est certainement légèrement moins rapide que l'APU Kabini AMD A4-5000. Pour des tâches classiques du quotidien comme la navigation internet ou la bureautique, les performances sont au rendez-vous, ce qui n'est pas le cas pour les applications complexes et les jeux modernes.

Puce graphique

La HD Graphics (Bay Trail) est basée sur l'architecture Intel Gen7 qui supporte DirectX 11 que l'on retrouve aussi dans certains processeurs Ivy Bridge (comme la HD Graphics 4000). Avec seulement 4 Unités d'exécution et une fréquence de fonctionnement relativement basse allant jusqu'à 750 MHz, la puce graphique est même plus lente que la HD Graphics (Ivy Bridge). Par conséquent, seuls les jeux moins récents et moins gourmands tourneront de manière fluide.

Consommation énergétique

Le SoC en intégralité est annoncé avec un TDP de 7,5 W : la puce peut être utilisée dans un ultraportable très compact.
