Intel Celeron 3867U

L'Intel Celeron 3865U est un SoC double cœur ULV (ultra basse tension) basé sur l'architecture Kaby-Lake et a été lancé au premier trimestre 2017. Le processeur peut être trouvé dans les ultrabooks ainsi que dans les ordinateurs portables normaux. En plus de deux cœurs de CPU cadencés à 1,8 GHz (pas de Turbo Boost, pas d'HyperThreading), la puce intègre également un GPU HD Graphics 610 et un contrôleur de mémoire DDR4-2133/DDR3L-1600 à double canal. Le SoC est fabriqué selon un processus de 14 nm avec des transistors FinFET.

Par rapport au Celeron 3865 similaire, le 3867 offre une option de réduction du TDPc différente (12,5 contre 10 watts).

Architecture

Intel utilise fondamentalement la même micro architecture par rapport à Skylake, donc les performances par MHz ne diffèrent pas. Le fabricant a seulement retravaillé la technologie Speed Shift pour des ajustements dynamiques plus rapides des tensions et des horloges, et le processus amélioré de 14nm permet des fréquences beaucoup plus élevées combinées à une meilleure efficacité qu'auparavant.

Performances

En raison de l'absence de Turbo Boost et des faibles fréquences d'horloge, les performances du single thread sont très limitées, ce qui se traduit par des performances inférieures même pour les tâches moins exigeantes. Les performances devraient être sensiblement plus faibles que celles du Celeron 3965 qui offre des cœurs de CPU cadencés 400 MHz plus haut. Par conséquent, le CPU n'est adapté qu'aux tâches d'entrée de gamme comme la bureautique, la navigation sur Internet et le multimédia.

Graphique

L'unité graphique intégrée appelée HD Graphics 610 (similaire à la HD Graphics 510) représente la version "GT1" du GPU Kaby Lake (Intel Gen. 9). Ses 12 unités d'exécution, également appelées UE, sont cadencées à 300 - 900 MHz et offrent des performances un peu inférieures à celles de l'ancien HD Graphics 4400. Seuls quelques jeux de 2015 peuvent être joués de manière fluide dans les réglages les plus bas.

Consommation d'énergie

Spécifié à un TDP de 15 W (incluant le CPU, le GPU et le contrôleur de mémoire), le CPU est le mieux adapté aux petits ordinateurs portables et aux ultrabooks (11 pouces et plus). En option, le TDP peut être abaissé à 10 watts (cTDP down), ce qui réduit à la fois la dissipation de chaleur et les performances et permet des conceptions encore plus compactes.
