AMD A9-9410

L’AMD A9-9410 est un SoC d'entrée de gamme appartenant à la famille des APU Stoney-Ridge (APU de 7ème génération). L’APU a été annoncé mi-2016. L'A9-9410 est l'APU Stoney Ridge (version dual-core du Bristol Ridge) le plus rapide de sa famille, il embarque 2 cœurs processeur (un module Excavator), un circuit graphique Radeon R5 (192 unités shaders) ainsi qu’un contrôleur mémoire monocanal DDR4-2133, un moteur vidéo H.265 et un ensemble de jeu de puces pour les interfaces entrées/sorties I/O.

Architecture

Stoney Ridge est le successeur de l’architecture Carrizo, la conception est presque identique. Grâce à une gravure améliorée et à une approche plus agressive du côté du mode Boost, les fréquences sont légèrement plus élevées à consommation équivalente. Le contrôleur mémoire prend dorénavant en charge la mémoire DDR4 jusqu’à 2133 MHz dans le cas présent. Stoney Ridge est le pendant dual-core et mono-core de Bristol Ridge, dont le nom est réservé aux processeurs quad-core disposant d'un contrôleur mémoire bicanal. Performances

Du fait de sa fréquence maximale élevée (3.5 GHz), les performances en single-core devraient être relativement bonnes. Les performances multi-core sont logiquement en retrait face aux APU Bristol Ridge, mais elles demeurent très respectables si l'on compare cet APU aux anciens quad-core Carrizo-L/Beema. Cela devrait suffire pour se hisser au niveau d'un Core-m3. Dans l’ensemble, le processeur suffit pour la grande majorité des utilisations.

Circuit graphique

La Radeon R5 (Stoney Ridge) intégrée possède 192 unités shaders (réparties en 3 blocs compute cores) cadencée jusqu’à 800 MHz. Plus de détails sont à trouver dans l'article dédié à Stoney Ridge.

Consommation énergétique

AMD indique un TDP de 15 Watts pour son A9-9450. Cet APU est un bon choix tant pour un ordinateur portable de type fin et léger que pour une machine plus standard dotée d’une diagonale d’écran supérieure à 15 pouces.
