Intel Celeron N4505

L'Intel Celeron N4500 est un SoC double cœur de la série Jasper Lake destiné principalement aux ordinateurs de bureau peu coûteux et de petite taille et a été annoncé début 2021. Les deux cœurs du processeur Tremont tournent à une fréquence comprise entre 2 et 2,9 GHz (Single Core Burst) et ne proposent pas d'HyperThreading (SMT). Le N4505 utilise 1,5 Mo de cache L2 et 4 Mo de cache L3. La puce est fabriquée en 10nm chez Intel (très probablement dans le même processus que Ice Lake).

Architecture du processeur

L'architecture du processeur est appelée Tremont et constitue une refonte complète par rapport aux anciens cœurs Golmont Plus de son prédécesseur. Selon Intel, les performances en single thread d'un cœur pourraient être améliorées de 30% en moyenne (10 à 80% dans tous les tests de SPECint et SPECfp).

Caractéristiques

Outre le bloc CPU à double cœur, le SoC intègre un GPU Intel UHD Graphics de 16 UE cadencé de 450 à 750 MHz et un contrôleur mémoire LPDDR4(x) à double canal (jusqu'à 16 Go et 2933 MHz). La puce intègre désormais aussi en partie le Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+), 8 voies PCIe 3.0, 14 ports USB 2.0/ 3.2 et deux ports SATA 6.0. Le boîtier est plus grand et mesure 35 x 24 mm (contre 25 x 24 mm pour le N5030 par exemple). Le SoC est directement soudé à la carte mère (BGA) et ne peut pas être remplacé facilement.

Performances

Grâce à la nouvelle architecture du CPU, les performances du N4505 devraient être légèrement supérieures à celles de l'ancien Celeron N4020 dual core. Le Celeron N5100 offre deux cœurs supplémentaires et est donc nettement plus rapide. Par conséquent, ce processeur n'est adapté qu'aux tâches de base comme les suites bureautiques, la navigation sur le Web avec un multitâche simple.

Consommation d'énergie

Comme pour son prédécesseur, Intel spécifie le TDP avec 10 Watts (mobile N4500 6W). La puce peut donc être refroidie passivement en théorie, mais des SKUs avec des ventilateurs sont également possibles.
