AMD A6-9225

L'AMD A6-9225 est une puce d'entrée de gamme de la série d'APU Stoney Ridge (7e génération d'APU), annoncée à la mi-2018. Par rapport à l'A4-9220 de deux ans plus âgée, l'A4-9225 possède une fréquence supérieure de 100 MHz. Elle intègre deux cœurs CPU (un module Excavator avec 2 unités pour les opréations sur les entiers, et une unité pour les flottants), et monte entre 2,6 et 3 GHz. Elle intègre également un GPU Radeon R4, probablement avec 192 nuanceurs à 655 MHz, ainsi qu'un contrôleur mémoire mono canal DDR4-2133, un moteur vidéo H.265, etune puce avec tous les ports entrée / sortie.

Architecture

Stoney Ridge succède à l'architecture Carrizo, et son design est presque identique. Grâce au procédé de fabrication amélioré et au boost plus agressif, les fréquences sont cependant un peu plus élevées pour le même niveau de consommation. Le contrôleur mémoire prend maintenant en charge la RAM DDR4, jusqu'à 2133 MHz. Stoney Ridge est le nom des puces plus petites double et simple cœur, tandis que Bristol Ridge est le nom des puces quadri cœur plus grosses, avec un contrôleur mémoire double canal. Performances

A cause de sa fréquence réduite, l'A6-9225 devrait être plus lent que l'A9-9410. De ce fait, c'est un CPU mobile tout ce qu'il y a de plus entrée de gamme en 2018, seulement destiné aux tâches les plus basiques.

Carte graphique

La puce graphique Radeon R4 intégrée (Stoney Ridge) est très certainement similaire à la R5, avec 192 nuanceurs acctifs (3 cœurs de calcul), mais à une fréquence réduite de seulement 655 MHz au lieu de 800. Plus de détails sur ce GPU sont disponibles dans les articles en lien ci-dessus.

Consommation

AMD indique une enveloppe thermique pour l'A6-9225 de 15 W, mais elle peut être configurée entre 10 et 15 W. Cela signifie que l'APU est un bon choix pour les portables fins et légers.
