AMD A10-7300

L'APU quad-core AMD A10-7300 est un processeur accéléré ULV Ultra Basse Tension basé sur l'architecture Kaveri. La puce pour ordinateurs portables a été présentée au grand public en Juin 2014 et est gravée par GlobalFoundries à l'aide d'un procédé SHP d'une finesse de 28 nm. Outre ses deux modules processeur donnant au total 4 cœurs cadencés de 1,9 à 3,2 GHz, l'APU AMD intègre une carte graphique Radeon R6 affichant 384 unités de calcul shader GCN cadencées jusqu'à 533 MHz et un contrôleur mémoire double canal DDR3-1600.

Architecture 

Kaveri est le successeur de l'architecture Richland datant de 2013 (A10-5750M par exemple). L'architecture des noyaux processeur a été revue et porte désormais le nom de code de Steamroller, soit la troisième génération du système modulaire Bulldozer. Un certain nombre de changements majeurs a été opéré, incluant des décodeurs modifiés (désormais un par cœur), des branches de prédiction optimisées et un cache I de niveau 1 L1 accru passant de 64 Ko à 96 Ko par module. A fréquence égale, ces modifications permettent une hausse du ratio performances par cycle d'horloge par rapport aux APU Richland. Performances

Selon les fréquences de fonctionnement données, l'A10-7300 devrait offrir des performances proches du processeur Haswell Intel Core i3-4010U. Les performances de l'A10-7300 seront globalement suffisantes pour les tâches du quotidien (suite bureautique telle que Microsoft Office, navigation Internet, multimédia) mais aussi du multitâche léger.

Circuit graphique 

La carte graphique intégrée Radeon R6 (Kaveri) de l'A10-7300 possède 384 unités de calcul shader cadencées jusqu'à 533 MHz. La carte graphique étant basée sur l'architecture GCN 1.1, la puce prend en charge les librairies DirectX 11.2 "Tier 2" et l'API AMD Mantle. La carte graphique est capable d'accélérer les opérations de certaines applications telles qu'Adobe Photoshop via les instructions OpenCL.

En termes de performances 3D, la carte graphique est plus ou moins au niveau d'une carte graphique dédiée de type GeForce GT 720M et est ainsi apte à faire tourner beaucoup de jeux actuels avec les détails paramétrés sur bas voire moyen et une résolution XGA voire WXGA (respectivement 1024×768 et 1366×768 pixels).

Consommation énergétique

La consommation énergétique de l'APU dans son intégralité est donnée pour 19 Watts, soit quelque peu au-dessus des processeurs Intel Haswell ULV (15 Watts en incluant les jeux de puce). En conséquence, l'A10-7300 prendra idéalement place dans les ordinateurs portables d'une diagonale de 12-13 pouces et plus.
