Nvidia Tegra K1
La NVIDIA Tegra K1 (Tegra 5) est un SoC (System on a Chip) ARM principalement conçue pour les tablettes et smartphones Android haut de gamme. Ses fonctionnalités clés incluent un processeur intégrant 5 noyaux ARM Cortex A15 (4+1), une carte graphique Kepler dotée de 192 unités de calcul CUDA, un contrôleur mémoire double canal 64-bit (jusqu'à 4 Go), de codecs vidéos pour l'encodage et le décodage allant jusqu'au 4K et de la fonctionnalité double ISP (fournisseur d'accès internet). La puce est fabriquée par TSMC selon un procédé d'une finesse de 28 nm HPM, qui par rapport au procédé 28nm HPL du Tegra 4 permet de meilleures performances en pointe (le 28 nm HPL permet une faible perte électrique).
Nvidia a annoncé vouloir lancer plus tard dans l'année 2014 une seconde version du Tegra K1 avec deux noyaux "Denver" cadencés jusqu'à 2.5 GHz. A la manière du "Cyclone" d'Apple, Denver est une puce 64-bit (ARMv8) développée par Nvidia lui-même. Les performances par noyau devraient être significativement au-dessus du modèle Cortex-A15.
