Samsung Exynos 9825

Le Samsung Exynos 9 9825 est un SoC mobile pour smartphones et tablettes. Il a été annoncé pour la gamme Samsung Note 10 en août 2019. Le processeur intègre trois clusters de cœurs avec différentes architectures. Deux cœurs puissant Samsung M4 cadencés à 2,73 GHz, et ciblant les pics de performances. Deux cœurs ARM Cortex-A75 ciblent également les performances, et montent à 2,4 GHz (jusqu'à 2,3 pour le 9820). Enfin, quatre petits cœurs efficients ARM Cortex-A55 cadencés à 1,9 GHz forment le dernier cluster. Les différents clusters peuvent fonctionner simultanément grâce au DinamIQ.

Le modem LTE intégré prend en charge le LTE Advanced Pro Cat. 20 (8CA 2 Gbit/s en réception, 3CA 316 Mbit/s en envoi). La puce graphique intégrée est une ARM Mali G76MP12 avec 12 cœurs. Grâce à la fréquence plus élevée, le G76 est maintenant un peu plus puissant que l'Exynos 9820.

Les performances de la partie processeurs sont situées dans le haut de gamme des processeurs pour smartphone. A cause des légers changements de fréquence, il est très comparable à l'ancien Exyno 9 9820. Dans les sollicitations continuent, la gravure en 7 nm améliorés permettra sans doute de maintenir un peu mieux le niveau de performances. Le concurrent direct Snapdragon 855 est laissé derrière dans les tests monocœurs comme Geekbench, et reste au même niveau dans les tests multicœurs.

Le SoC est gravé par Samsung grâce au procédé 7 nm LPP (avec EUV), qui devrait améliorer l'efficience énergétique par rapport à l'Exynos 9820.
