HiSilicon Kirin 955
Le HiSilicon Kirin 955 est un SoC ARM haut de gamme pour tablettes et Smartphones Android. Il a été présenté par la première fois au début de l'année 2016 avec le Huawei P9. Il embarque 8 cœurs processeurs (4x Cortex-A72, 4x Cortex-A53), une carte graphique ARM Mali T880 MP4, un contrôleur mémoire bicanal LPDDR4 et un modem LTE Cat. 5.
Il s'agissait de l'un des SoC ARM les plus rapides début 2016. Comparé à l'ancien modèle le Kirin 950, le 955 voit des fréquences plus élevés (les cœurs sont cadencés à 2.5 Ghz contre 2.3 Ghz).
Le Kirin 955 est l'un des tout premiers SoCs à utiliser la nouvelle architecture Cortex-A72, qui offre un gain d'environ 15% en performance à fréquence égale tout en consommant moins par rapport à l'A57. Le Kirin 955 emploie quatre cœurs processeurs Cortex-A72 pouvant aller jusqu'à 2.5 Ghz. Le SoC embarque aussi quatre cœurs processeurs Cortex-A53 plus économes en énergie cadencés jusqu'à 1.8 Ghz.
Le Kirin 955 est gravé par TSMC selon une lithographie d'une finesse de 16 nm (procédé 16FF+).
