HiSilicon Kirin 970

Le Kirin 970 HiSilicon est un SoC ARM haut de gamme huit cœurs pour smartphones et tablettes, lancé avec le Huawei Mate 10 à la fin 2017. En plus de ses 8 cœurs physiques (4 Cortex-A73, 4 Cortex-A53), le SoC est également équipé d'un adaptateur graphique moderne Mali-G72 MP12, d'un contrôleur mémoire LPDDR4 double canal, ainsi que d'un modem LTE (4x4 MIMO, agrégation de porteuse 5 bandes, QAM-256, jusqu'à 1,2 Gbit/s).

Le cluster dédié aux performances est cadencé à 2,4 GHz, et les quatre cœurs économes A53 à 1,8 GHz. Les performances devraient être améliorées d'environ 20 % d'après Huawei, et la consommation réduite de 20 %.

Un Neural Processing Unit (NPU) dédié est également intégré sur la puce HiSilicon, afin de gérer l'apprentissage des tâches très efficacement par rapport aux cœurs physiques.
