HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G
Le HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G est un SoC ARM octocœur haut de gamme pour les smartphones et les tablettes, annoncé avec le Huawei Mate 30 Pro fin 2019. Il intègre huit cœurs CPU répartis en trois clusters. Le cluster dédié aux performances contient deux cœurs Cortex-A76 montant à 2,86 GHz, le cluster pour le mode équilibré intègre également deux Cortex-A76 mais ne montant qu'à 2,36 GHz, et enfin le cluster économe en énergie contient quatre petits cœurs ARM Cortex-A55 montant à 1,95 GHz. De plus, le SoC intègre un accélérateur d'intelligence artificielle (2+1 cœurs) pour les tâches d'IA, et une puce graphique ARM Mali-G76 MP16 montant à 700 MHz. Le Kirin 990 5G intègre un modem 5G Balong en plus par rapport à la version 4G, et sa fréquence est légèrement supérieure (2 des trois clusters et le GPU).
Le Kirin 990 5G est gravé en 7 nm (7FF+ avec EUV) par TSMC, la version 4G étant toujours gravé grâce à l'ancien procédé en 7 nm, comme le Kirin 980.
