Intel i5-L16G7

Le Core i5-L16G7 est un SoC avec 5 cœurs de processeur basé sur l'architecture Lakefield. Il utilise un cœur rapide Sunny Cove (connu des processeurs Ice-Lake mais sans AVX512) avec une fréquence allant jusqu'à 3 GHz et 4 petits cœurs Tremont (Atom / Celeron) avec une fréquence allant jusqu'à 2,8 GHz. En utilisant les 5 cœurs, le CPU peut atteindre jusqu'à 1,8 GHz, la vitesse de base de l'horloge est de 1,4 GHz. L'unité centrale ne prend pas en charge l'HyperThreading / SMT. Le reste du SoC est similaire aux puces Ice Lake, comme la carte graphique Gen 11 avec 64 EU (similaire à la Iris Plus G7 mais seulement cadencée à 500 MHz et utilisant le nom UHD Graphics).

Selon Intel, la L16G7 devrait être environ 24% plus rapide dans les applications multi threads et 12% plus rapide dans les applications single threads par rapport à l'ancien Core i7-8500Y (Amber Lake-Y, 2 coeurs, 1,5 - 4,2 GHz). Cela signifie qu'il devrait être légèrement plus lent que le Core i3-8130U.

Avec un TDP spécifié de 7 Watt (PL1, 9.5 Watt PL2), le CPU est bien adapté aux ordinateurs portables minces et légers et aux tablettes basées sur Windows. / 2-en-1. Intel affirme que la puissance en veille a été fortement réduite (91% de mieux par rapport au i7-8500Y avec 2,5 mW). Le SoC est fabriqué en 10 nm et utilise la technologie Intel Foveros 3D Packaging. Foveros est utilisé pour empiler la puce d'E/S fabriquée en 22FFL, la puce de calcul en 10nm et jusqu'à 8 Go de LPDDR4X-4267.
