AMD Athlon 300U

L'AMD Athlon 300 est un SoC mobile double cœur d'entrée de gamme annoncé en janvier 2019. Il combine deux cœurs Zen (avec SMT, ou hyperthreading, soit 4 threads) cadencés entre 2,4 et 3,3 GHz, avec une puce graphique Radeon RX Vega 3 avec 3 unités de calcul (192 shaders) cadencée à 1 000 MHz. Avec une enveloppe thermique de 15 W, le SoC est destiné aux portables fins du milieu de gamme. Il est assez proche de l'AMD Ryzen 3 3200U (2,6 - 3,5 GHz).

Par rapport aux APU Picasso de la série Ryzen 3000, l'Athlon 300 repose toujours sur la première génération de la série 2000. Seules les versions PRO sont basées sur la microarchitecture Zen+, qui devrait conduire à une hausse de 3 % des performances par horloge.

Le contrôleur mémoire double canal inclus prend en charge la mémoire DDR4-2400. Les fonctionnalités des APU Picasso étant les mêmes que celles des Raven Ridge précédents, nous renvoyons à notre article sur le lancement de Raven Ridge.

A la différence des APU Picasso plus puissants, l'Athlon 300 ne prend en charge que 3 écrans, au lieu de 4.

En ce qui concerne les performances, l'Athlon 300 devrait être légèrement moins puissant que le Ryzen 3 3200U (2,5 - 3,4 GHz, double cœur avec SMT).
