Intel i7-1180G7

L'Intel Core i7-1180G7 est un SoC quadricœur économe en énergie destiné aux ordinateurs portables et aux ultrabooks, basé sur la génération Tiger Lake-U (UP4) qui a été introduite début 2021. Il intègre quatre cœurs de processeur Willow Cove (8 threads grâce à l'Hyper-Threading). La vitesse d'horloge de base garantie dépend du réglage du TDP et peut aller de 0,9 (7 W TDP) à 2,2 GHz (15 W TDP). La vitesse d'horloge Turbo est spécifiée à 4,6 GHz pour un cœur, tous les cœurs peuvent atteindre jusqu'à 3,7 GHz.

Une autre nouveauté est la carte graphique Xe intégrée avec 96EUs basée sur la toute nouvelle architecture Gen 12. Elle offre des performances nettement supérieures à celles de l'ancienne Iris Plus G7 (Ice Lake). Le GPU et le CPU peuvent utiliser ensemble les 12 Mo de cache L3.

En outre, les SoC Tiger Lake ajoutent la prise en charge de PCIe 4 (quatre voies), l'accélération matérielle de l'IA et l'intégration partielle de Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 et Wi-Fi 6 dans la puce. Le i5-1140G7 prend également en charge la fonction de gestion vPro.

La puce est produite dans le processus amélioré de 10 nm (appelé SuperFin) chez Intel qui devrait être comparable au processus de 7 nm chez TSMC (par exemple, la série Ryzen 4000).

La plage de fonctionnement de la série UP4 est spécifiée entre 7 et 15 watts. Par conséquent, le processeur est bien adapté aux ordinateurs portables très fins et légers, aux convertibles ou aux tablettes.
