AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS
L'AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS est un processeur pour les gros ordinateurs portables (de jeu) basé sur la génération Rembrandt. Le R9 6900HS intègre les huit cœurs basés sur la microarchitecture Zen 3+. Ils sont cadencés de 3,3 (horloge de base garantie) à 4,9 GHz (Turbo) et prennent en charge le SMT / Hyperthreading (16 threads). La puce est fabriquée sur le processus moderne TSMC de 6 nm. La variante HS offre un TDP inférieur de 10 W et donc une performance soutenue inférieure à celle de la version HX.
Le nouveau Zen 3+ est un rafraîchissement de l'architecture Zen 3 et ne devrait pas offrir beaucoup de changements. La puce elle-même offre cependant beaucoup de nouvelles fonctionnalités, comme la prise en charge de l'USB 4 (40 Gbps), PCI-E Gen 4, DDR5-4800MT/s ou LPDDR5-6400MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth LE 5.2, DisplayPort 2, et le décodage AV1.
Les performances du processeur devraient être un peu plus élevées que celles de l'ancien Ryzen 9 5980HS grâce à la vitesse d'horloge de boost plus élevée (+100 MHz). Les nouveaux processeurs mobiles Alder Lake à 14 cœurs (comme le Core i9-12900HK) devraient cependant offrir une meilleure performance multi-cœurs. Comparé au modèle HS le plus rapide, le Ryzen 9 6980HS, le 6900HS offre une horloge Boost inférieure de 100 MHz et donc une performance légèrement inférieure. Le R9 6900HX similaire (45W, support de l'overclocking) a un TDP plus élevé et devrait donc être plus rapide lors de charges multi-threadées à long terme.
Une grande nouveauté est le GPU intégré Radeon 680M, qui est maintenant basé sur l'architecture RDNA2 et offre 12 CUs jusqu'à 2,4 GHz. Il devrait être le plus rapide de tous les iGPU au moment de l'annonce.
Le TDP de l'APU est spécifié à 35 Watts et convient donc mieux aux ordinateurs portables fins et légers. L'efficacité énergétique devrait être très bonne, grâce au processus 6 nm amélioré et aux fonctions d'économie d'énergie supplémentaires de la série 6000.
