AMD R7 5800U

Le AMD Ryzen 7 5800U est un processeur pour ordinateurs portables fins et légers basé sur la génération Cezanne. Le R7 5800U intègre les huit cœurs basés sur la microarchitecture Zen 3 et constitue le processeur de la série U le plus rapide au lancement. Ils sont cadencés de 1,9 (horloge de base garantie) à 4,4 GHz (Turbo) et prennent en charge le SMT / Hyperthreading (16 threads). La puce est fabriquée sur le processus moderne TSMC de 7 nm.

La nouvelle microarchitecture Zen 3 offre un IPC (instructions par horloge) nettement supérieur à celui du Zen 2. Pour les processeurs de bureau, AMD revendique 19 % en moyenne et, dans les revues d'applications, des gains d'environ 12 % à la même vitesse d'horloge.

Avec la vitesse d'horloge accrue et les améliorations IPC grâce à Zen 3, le Ryzen 7 5800U devrait être clairement plus rapide que le Ryzen 7 4800U cadencé 200 MHz plus bas.

En plus des huit cœurs de CPU, l'APU intègre également un GPU Radeon RX Vega 8 avec 8 CU à 2000 MHz maximum. Le contrôleur de mémoire à double canal prend en charge la RAM DDR4-3200 et la RAM LPDDR4-4266 économe en énergie. De plus, la puce dispose d'un cache de niveau 3 de 16 Mo (contre 8 Mo pour le 4800U).

Le TDP de l'APU est spécifié à 15 Watt (par défaut) et peut être configuré de 10 à 25 Watt par le vendeur de l'ordinateur portable (la plupart des puces sont configurées à plus de 15 Watt). Cela signifie que la puce est destinée aux ordinateurs portables fins et légers (mais avec des ventilateurs).
