Intel Xeon W-10885M
L'Intel Xeon W-10885M est un processeur haut de gamme pour les ordinateurs portables de bureau à huit cœurs basé sur l'architecture Comet Lake (CML-H, 4e génération de Skylake). Le processeur fonctionne entre 2,4 et 5,3 GHz et peut exécuter jusqu'à seize threads simultanément grâce à l'Hyper-Threading. Le processeur est toujours fabriqué selon l'ancien procédé 14nm (14nm++).
L'architecture de Comet Lake est similaire à celle de Coffee Lake et offre les mêmes caractéristiques. Elle est produite selon le même procédé 14nm. Outre les fréquences d'horloge améliorées, le contrôleur de mémoire prend désormais en charge une mémoire vive DDR4-2933 plus rapide. L'Intel Xeon W-10885M supporte les fonctions de gestion vPro, TXT et SIPP et est la version professionnelle de l'Intel Core i9-10885H.
Les performances du W-10885M devraient être légèrement supérieures à celles de l'ancien modèle de pointe Core i9-9980HK, grâce au potentiel plus élevé du turbo monocœur. Grâce aux 8 cœurs et aux vitesses élevées du turbo, même les applications exigeantes devraient fonctionner très bien sur le CPU. Cependant, les performances à long terme dépendent toujours du système de refroidissement de l'ordinateur portable et de la configuration du système. Au moment de l'annonce, l'Intel Xeon W-10885M est le deuxième CPU Comet Lake-H le plus rapide derrière le Core i9-10980HK.
L'iGPU Intel UHD Graphics P630 intégré est censé offrir des performances similaires à celles de l'UHD630 dans le Core i7-9880H. En tant que solution bas de gamme, il ne fera fonctionner les jeux actuels que de manière fluide, avec des détails réduits, voire pas du tout. La variante P utilise des pilotes professionnels.
Intel spécifie le TDP avec 45 watts et donc le i9 est uniquement adapté aux gros ordinateurs portables avec de bonnes solutions de refroidissement. En utilisant le cTDP-down, le processeur peut également être configuré à 35 watts, ce qui réduit les performances.
