Les performances de ray tracing sont exceptionnelles grâce à 76 cœurs dédiés et les 320 cœurs de tenseur peuvent être utilisés pour DLSS 3.
Les performances de jeu sans DLSS sont idéales pour le 4k avec environ 60 images par seconde et le 2k avec des taux de rafraîchissement plus élevés dans les jeux exigeants sans effets de ray tracing (par exemple F1 22 ou Cyberpunk 2077). Avec le ray tracing, l'utilisation de DLSS est recommandée. Par rapport à la concurrence, les performances sans DLSS et sans ray tracing sont légèrement supérieures à celles de la AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT .
Les cartes RTX 4080 actuellement disponibles sont très grandes (2,5 ou 3 emplacements) et utilisent le nouveau connecteur 12VHPWR (qui a causé quelques problèmes avec les adaptateurs).
