Intel Core i9-12900HK
L'Intel Core i9-12900HK est un processeur mobile haut de gamme pour ordinateurs portables basé sur l'architecture Alder Lake. Il a été annoncé début 2022 et offre 6 cœurs de performance (P-cores, architecture Golden Cove) et 8 cœurs efficaces (E-cores, architecture Gracemont). Les cœurs P prennent en charge l'Hyper-Threading, ce qui porte à 20 le nombre de threads pris en charge lorsqu'ils sont associés aux cœurs E. La fréquence d'horloge varie de 2,5 à 5 GHz sur le cluster de performance et de 1,8 à 3,8 GHz sur le cluster d'efficacité. Les performances des E-cores devraient être similaires à celles des anciens cœurs Skylake (comparez avec le Core i7-6920HQ). Tous les cœurs peuvent utiliser jusqu'à 24 Mo de cache L3. En tant que variante K, le processeur offre un multiplicateur ouvert et donc la possibilité d'overclocker les cœurs du processeur. Par rapport au i9-12900H similaire, le 12900HK n'offre que les fonctions "Essentials" de vPro.
Performances
Le i9-12900HK moyen est l'un des CPU mobiles les plus rapides de nos tests et n'est devancé que par les modèles HX au TDP plus élevé. Les performances dépendent des paramètres de refroidissement et de TDP mais peuvent en moyenne battre un AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX de 11% (au moment de l'écriture, voir la comparaison maintenant). L'influence du refroidissement de l'ordinateur portable peut être vu dans notre base de données, comme un Core i9-12900H théoriquement plus lent est plus rapide en moyenne actuellement. Malgré tout, le processeur est très bien adapté à tous les cas d'utilisation exigeants comme les jeux, la création de contenu et les calculs scientifiques.
Caractéristiques
Le contrôleur de mémoire intégré prend en charge différents types de mémoire jusqu'à DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 et LPDDR4x-4267. Le Thread Director (en matériel) peut aider le système d'exploitation à décider quel thread utiliser sur les cœurs performants ou efficaces pour obtenir les meilleures performances. Pour les tâches d'IA, le processeur intègre également GNA 3.0 et DL Boost (via AVX2). La version 8 de Quick Sync est la même que celle des CPU Rocket Lake et prend en charge le décodage MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, JPEG, VP8, VP9, HEVC et AV1 en matériel. Le CPU prend uniquement en charge PCIe 4.0 (x8 pour un GPU et deux x4 pour les SSD).
La carte graphique intégrée est basée sur la Xe-architecture et offre 96 UE (unités d'exécution) fonctionnant jusqu'à 1,45 GHz.
Le CPU a une puissance de base de 45 W (115 W PL2), mais la plupart des ordinateurs portables utiliseront une PL1 d'environ 60 Watt. Le SoC est fabriqué dans un processus 10nm chez Intel, qui est connu sous le nom d'Intel 7.
