Intel i9-10900K

L'Intel Core i9-10900K est un processeur haut de gamme pour ordinateurs de bureau doté de dix cœurs et basé sur l'architecture Comet Lake (CML-S, 4e génération de Skylake). Le processeur tourne entre 3,7 et 5,3 GHz (les 10 cœurs jusqu'à 4,8 GHz) et peut exécuter jusqu'à vingt threads simultanément grâce à Hyper-Threading. Les 5,3 GHz ne peuvent être atteints qu'en dessous d'une température de cœur de 70°C (Thermal Velocity Boost de 100 MHz).

Le processeur est toujours fabriqué selon l'ancien procédé 14nm (14nm++). Par rapport à son prédécesseur, le Core i9-9900K, le 10900K offre une vitesse d'horloge accrue et deux cœurs supplémentaires. Grâce au multiplicateur libre, le processeur peut également être facilement overclocké (mais peut ne pas avoir beaucoup de marge de manœuvre).

L'architecture Comet Lake est similaire à Coffee Lake et offre les mêmes caractéristiques et est produite dans le même processus 14nm. Outre l'amélioration des fréquences d'horloge, le contrôleur de mémoire prend désormais en charge la mémoire vive DDR4-2933 plus rapide. Performances

Grâce au Turbo Boost élevé, le processeur est le processeur de jeu le plus rapide disponible au moment de l'annonce. En utilisant tous les cœurs, le i9 est cependant plus lent que les CPU Ryzen supérieurs (comme le Ryzen 9 3950X) qui offrent plus de cœurs.

Graphisme

L'iGPU intégré Intel UHD Graphics 630 est censé offrir des performances similaires à celles de l'UHD630 du Core i7-9900K. En tant que solution bas de gamme, il ne fera tourner les jeux actuels que de manière fluide, avec des détails réduits - voire pas du tout.

Consommation d'énergie

Intel spécifie le TDP avec 125 Watts (PL1) mais en pleine charge jusqu'à 250 Watt sont consommés (PL2). En mode par défaut, ces 250 watts et donc les vitesses d'horloge élevées peuvent être maintenues pendant 56 secondes, mais toutes les cartes offrent la possibilité de modifier ces paramètres.
