AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
L'AMD Ryzen 9 5950X est un processeur de bureau haut de gamme de la série Vermeer, à 16 cœurs et hyperfilaire (SMT). Avec 32 threads, le nouveau vaisseau amiral offre autant de threads que l'AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. Introduit le 8 octobre 2020, le Ryzen 9 5950X est le processeur 16 cœurs le plus rapide et est spécifié à 105 watts TDP.
Le Ryzen 9 5950X fonctionne à une fréquence d'horloge de base de 3,4 GHz et atteint jusqu'à 4,9 GHz en mode turbo sur un seul cœur. Toutefois, lorsque les 16 cœurs sont tous chargés, il est encore possible d'atteindre 4,5 GHz.
Les performances de l'AMD Ryzen 9 5950X sont toujours très élevées dans toutes les applications et ont été considérablement améliorées par rapport à l'AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. AMD a pu améliorer en particulier les performances du fil unique et même battre le Core i9-10900K d'Intel dans cette discipline. La performance multi-fil est excellente grâce aux 16 cœurs.
La structure interne du processeur n'a pas fondamentalement changé à première vue. La structure du CCX a un peu changé par rapport au Zen2, car maintenant un CCX se compose de 8 cœurs de processeur. Ainsi, chaque cœur individuel peut accéder au cache L3 complet (32 MByte). De plus, les modules CCX sont connectés entre eux via la même puce d'E/S, ce que nous connaissons déjà du Zen2. Selon AMD, le tissu Infinity devrait maintenant atteindre des fréquences d'horloge allant jusqu'à 2 Ghz, ce qui permet d'obtenir une horloge RAM de 4 000 MHz sans perte de performance.
Pour les processus de fabrication, AMD s'appuie également sur TSCM pour les processeurs Vermeer pour la production en 7 nm des cœurs d'unités centrales, bien que la puce d'E/S soit toujours fournie en 12 nm par Globalfoundries.
Dans le domaine des jeux, l'AMD Ryzen 9 5950X est toujours impressionnant grâce à l'IPC considérablement amélioré, et surpasse facilement l'AMD Ryzen 9 5900X. L'AMD Ryzen 9 5950X est le processeur parfait pour les créateurs de contenu, car en plus du jeu, le nouveau fleuron maîtrise également la diffusion simultanée en continu. Toutefois, si vous ne voulez que jouer, vous êtes bien avisé de regarder de plus près l'AMD Ryzen 7 5800X ou l'AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, moins chers.
