Intel i9-11900K

L'Intel Core i9-11900K est un processeur de bureau haut de gamme basé sur l'architecture Rocket Lake. Le processeur offre 8 cœurs et 16 threads cadencés à 3,5 - 5,3 GHz (Turbo Boost 3.0 / TVB). Avec Turbo Boost 2.0, il est possible d'atteindre 5,1 GHz avec un seul thread. En utilisant tous les cœurs, le processeur peut atteindre 4,8 GHz. Adaptive Boost permet d'atteindre des fréquences multi-cœurs encore plus élevées (5,1 GHz all core Turbo) mais consomme beaucoup plus d'énergie.

Le TDP est évalué à 125 watts (PL1, power limit sustained load) mais le PL2 est réglé à environ 250 watts pour les boosts de courte durée (jusqu'à 56 secondes).

Grâce à l'architecture de cœur plus rapide, le 11900K peut compenser les deux cœurs manquants par rapport au Core i9-10900K. Les applications axées sur un seul thread profitent donc grandement de l'amélioration de l'IPC. Les performances de jeu ne sont que légèrement améliorées (en fonction du jeu). Dans l'ensemble, les modèles AMD Ryzen à nombre élevé de cœurs, comme le Ryzen 9 5900X, sont toujours en avance dans les jeux et les applications.

Les cœurs du processeur Sunny Cove (connus des processeurs mobiles Ice Lake) offrent des caches plus grands et un IPC amélioré (jusqu'à 19%). En outre, la puce intègre (partiellement) le WiFi 6E et le Thunderbolt 4. La plateforme prend en charge PCIe 4.0 et Intel DL Boost pour l'accélération de l'IA.

Les processeurs Rocket Lake-S plus rapides intègrent également un nouveau graphique Intel UHD 750 qui est basé sur l'architecture Intel Xe actuelle (par exemple, Tiger Lake mobile) et offre 32 UE. Dans le 11900K, le GPU est cadencé de 350 à 1300 MHz.

Le processeur est fabriqué selon l'ancien procédé 14nm, comme les prédécesseurs de Comet Lake. La consommation d'énergie est donc plutôt élevée, notamment en activant Adaptive Boost.
