AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
L'AMD Ryzen 9 5900X est un processeur de bureau haut de gamme à 12 cœurs, de la série Vermeer hyperthreaded (SMT), qui peut traiter 24 threads simultanément. Introduit le 8 octobre 2020, le Ryzen 9 5900X est le processeur 12 cœurs le plus rapide et est spécifié à 105 watts TDP. Le modèle haut de gamme, le Ryzen 9 5950X d'AMD, offre encore plus de puissance et propose en même temps 4 cœurs et 8 threads supplémentaires.
Le Ryzen 9 5900X est doté d'une horloge de base de 3,7 GHz et atteint jusqu'à 4,8 GHz sur un cœur en mode turbo. Toutefois, lorsque les 12 cœurs sont chargés, il est encore possible d'atteindre 4,5 GHz.
Les performances de l'AMD Ryzen 9 5900X sont toujours excellentes dans toutes les applications et nettement supérieures à celles de l'AMD Ryzen 9 3900X. AMD a pu améliorer considérablement ses performances sur un seul fil en particulier et bat même le Core i9-10900K d'Intel dans cette discipline. Les performances multi-filières pourraient également être améliorées. Dans un duel interne, l'AMD Ryzen 9 5900X peut même affronter un AMD Threadripper 2950X.
La structure interne du processeur n'a pas fondamentalement changé à première vue. La structure du CCX a un peu changé par rapport à celle du Zen2, car un CCX se compose désormais de 8 cœurs de processeur au maximum. Ainsi, chaque cœur individuel peut accéder au cache L3 complet (32 MByte). De plus, les modules CCX sont connectés entre eux via la même puce d'E/S, ce que nous connaissons déjà du Zen2. Selon l'AMD, le tissu informatique devrait maintenant atteindre des fréquences d'horloge allant jusqu'à 2 GHz, ce qui permet d'obtenir une horloge RAM de 4 000 MHz sans perte de performance.
Pour les processus de fabrication, AMD s'appuie également sur TSCM pour les processeurs Vermeer pour la production en 7 nm des cœurs de l'unité centrale, bien que la puce E/S soit toujours fournie en 12 nm par Globalfoundries.
Dans les jeux, l'AMD Ryzen 9 5900X est convaincant grâce à l'IPC considérablement amélioré. Avec l'AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, le streaming peut se faire en même temps que le jeu. Mais si vous ne voulez que jouer, vous êtes bien conseillé de regarder de plus près l'AMD Ryzen 7 5800X ou l'AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.
