AMD Ryzen 9 3950X
L'AMD Ryzen 9 3950X est un processeur de bureau haut de gamme à 16 cœurs basé sur l'architecture Zen 2. Lors de son lancement en novembre 2019, il s'agit du processeur le plus rapide de la série Matisse. Le 3950X tourne à des fréquences allant de 3,5 GHz (base) à 4,7 GHz (Turbo pour un seul cœur). Les seize cœurs peuvent atteindre jusqu'à 4,1 GHz.
Grâce aux 16 cœurs et aux 32 threads, le 3950X offre d'excellentes performances applicatives - si le nombre de cœurs peut être utilisé. Grâce au Turbo relativement élevé, la performance d'un seul cœur se situe également dans le haut de gamme. Pour les jeux cependant, il existe des processeurs plus rapides, comme le Core i9-10900K.
Le Ryzen 9 3950X est fabriqué en 7 nm (les quatre clusters CCX avec les cœurs) chez TSMC et en 12 nm (matrice E/S) chez Globalfoundries. Le TDP est de 250 Watt et le CPU a donc besoin d'un système de refroidissement très puissant.
