Intel Core i9-9900K

L'Intel Core i9-9900K est un processeur de bureau haut de gamme basé sur l'architecture Coffee Lake. Au moment de son annonce fin 2018, le 9900K est le CPU Coffee Lake le plus rapide et offre un multiplicateur ouvert pour faciliter l'overclocking. Le CPU intègre 8 cœurs (16 threads) cadencés à 3,6 - 5 GHz et il a besoin d'une nouvelle carte mère basée sur Z390.

Grâce aux deux cœurs supplémentaires, les performances dans les applications multithreads sont jusqu'à 25 % plus rapides que celles de l'ancien Core i7-8700K. Les performances en single thread ne sont que légèrement supérieures en raison des vitesses d'horloge plus élevées. En tant que processeur de bureau haut de gamme, le i9-9900K convient même aux applications très exigeantes et est parfait pour les jeux en 3D.

La carte graphique intégrée Intel UHD Graphics 630 est cadencée jusqu'à 1,2 GHz et n'offre aucun avantage par rapport aux générations précédentes. Comme il s'agit d'un GPU très bas de gamme, seuls quelques jeux peu exigeants comme Hearthstone peuvent être joués avec lui (voir la page GPU pour les benchmarks).

Intel spécifie le TDP à 95 Watt, donc si le CPU est utilisé dans des ordinateurs portables, un gros système de refroidissement est nécessaire pour éviter l'étranglement et les vitesses d'horloge inférieures sous des charges soutenues. En cas d'overclocking du CPU, la consommation d'énergie peut facilement grimper jusqu'à 200 Watt et plus.
