Cette carte graphique à mémoire partagée (sur la carte mère) VIA Chrome9 HC IGP peut être trouvée sur la VN896 pour ordinateur portable. Elle offre un support DirectX 9.0 accélération 3D et vidéo pour la lecture MPEG. Avec un De-Interlacing adaptif et le déblocage vidéo sont supportés jusqu’à une résolution de 1080i.

La performance de la VIA Chrome 9 HC IGP N’est que de la moitié de ses concurrents (Intel GMA 950, AMD XPress 1100) mais grâce a ses fonctions DirectX 9.0 pour l’interface Aero (de Windows Vista) (l’usage est possible, mais avec des interruptions).
