NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT SLI

La NVIDIA GeForce 8700 GT SLI est composée de 2 cartes graphiques combinées de SLI et  capables de Direct X10. Du point de vue technique, chaque carte contient 32 processeurs de flux comme la 8600M GT, mais le core-mShader et la cadence mémoire sont plus hauts. Pour cette raison la performance de chaque carte singulière est un peu meilleure à celle de la 8600M GT (D’après NVIDIA  elle fournit une résolution plus haute) et, en conséquence, tous les jeux devraient fonctionner assez bien et avec de grands détails. La combinaison SLI n’apporte pas une performance double et, en plus, elle dépend du support dans le jeu. Les valeurs 3dMark sont très bonnes (comme toutes les cartes graphiques de la série 8000).
Tout de même, le 128 bits Bus de chaque carte graphique singulière réduit la performance du gaming avec les hautes résolutions (et avec Antialiasing activé). Par exemple, la combinaison SLI n’atteint pas les valeurs d’une carte singulière  7950 GTX dans F.E.A.R.. Néanmoins, elle est la carte graphique la plus rapide pour les portables avec support DirectX 10 et elle permet de jouer confortablement aux jeux de DirectX 10 les plus actuels.
La carte vidéo dispose d’une qualité particulière, c'est-à-dire les « Unified Shaders ». Il n’a plus les Pixel et Vertex Shaders* mais 32 soi-disant processeurs de flux qui performent la graphique (au lieu des Pixel et Vertex Shaders, jusqu’au moment).
Les pilotes, entre eux, appellent la 8700M GT  la NB8E-SE (8800M GS).
