AMD Radeon HD 7660G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics

La AMD Radeon HD 7660G + HD 7670M Dual Graphics est une combinaison d'une carte graphique AMD Radeon HD 7660G intégrée de type APU et une carte graphique dédiée d'entrée de gamme, la AMD Radeon HD 7670M en combinaison CrossFire. Cette solution graphique particulière s'appelle AMD Dual Graphics ou CrossFire asymétrique et utilise le système AFR (Alternate Frame Rendering) pour faire alterner le calcul des images par les deux GPUs. Ce qui fait que cette combinaison mène à des micro saccades, un phénomène où la cadence d'image peut apparaitre dès que le nombre d'image est trop faible.

Les performances de la solution Dual Graphics dépendent énormément du support des pilotes pour les jeux utilisés. Dans certains jeux, les performances peuvent même baisser de 10-15% comparativement à la carte graphique APU seule. dans le meilleur des cas, les performances de la GT 640M sont possibles. A cause des micro-saccades et des problèmes de performances, le AMD Dual Graphics peut poser plus de problèmes que de gains.

Les fonctions comme PureVideo HD (UVD3) et le support OpenCL sont disponibles avec les deux cartes.

Vu que les deux cartes sont utilisées pour le rendu des images, la consommation est clairement plus élevée qu'avec un seul GPU.
