Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD
L'Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD (parfois également appelée GMA X4500 HD ou d'autres combinaisons) est une carte graphique intégrée DirectX 10 dans le chipset GM45 de la plateforme Centrino 2 (Montevina). La puce n'a pas de mémoire graphique dédiée, mais prend un montant dynamique de la mémoire principale (jusqu'à 384 Mo).
Par rapport à la GMA X3100, son prédécesseur, la GMA 4500MHD a deux autres shaders et 33 MHz de plus. Par conséquent, la puce est plus rapide (en particulier dans 3DMark06). Pourtant, la performance est sur un pied d'égalité avec le niveau d'entrée des cartes graphiques dédiées et n'est donc pas adapté pour des jeux.
Une nouvelle fonctionnalité de la puce, c’est le décodage de la HD. Le GM45 est en mesure de décoder la HD dans les formats AVC, VC-2 et MPEG-2 à aider le CPU. De cette manière, un Blu-Ray devrait également être possible avec un CPU bas de gamme.
